Diocesan Appeal |
Number of Parish Families 829
Number of Parish Families Responded 320
Stewardship Goal for Diocese $78,142.17
Diocesan Stewardship to Date $54,029.08
This year, we have been blest with one matching gift for each parish of $10,000 for the Annual Bishop’s Appeal. From this point each dollar you give will be matched up to $10,000. This is a wonderful opportunity to help us meet our goal. As you are well aware, parishes are expected to raise their targeted goal for this appeal. If they do not, the shortfall will be added to the parish debt. We thank the generous donors, and we hope to match their gifts by May 1, 2008. Please use a plain white envelope, label it “Diocesan Appeal 2008” and return in the offertory collection or to either parish office.
You may also make your contribution by credit card by going on-line to the Diocese's website at www.dioceseoflacrosse.com and clicking donate under the Annual Appeal heading. |

Capital Campaign - We Belong to Christ |
| The “We Belong to Christ Campaign” has received $823,800 in pledges and gifts for the effort. The total number of responses is 290. These figures reflect the totals as of March 24, 2008. As you are aware, it is our goal to raise $980,900. We are getting closer, but in order to accomplish this, we need everyone to prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift. Pledges are still coming in very slowly. We need to hear from you if we are to reach our goal. Please make it a priority to return your pledge cards to the parish office this week. Remember that as Christians we have a need to express our acceptance of God’s love by sharing what we have received from God with our parish, our diocese and our community. |

Weekly Food Collection for the Needy |
Every week in the baskets at the entrances to the church we collect non-perishable food items for those in our community who are experiencing difficult times. The first weekend of the month items are delivered to the Women’s Community and on the other weekends goods are donated to the Neighbor’s Place and the Salvation Army food pantries. The Neighbor’s Place is especially in need of our help at this time particularly with canned fruits and meats (chicken, tuna, ham). Thanks to all who give so generously and to those of you who could give even just one item, it is very much appreciated.
